Obituary of Harold E. Reubens

Harold E. Reubens, age 93, formerly of Ransomville, died Sunday September 25, 2016.
Born February 22, 1923 in Shortsville, NY, son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Sizler) Reubens. Harold (Bud) lived in Ransomville for over 60 years before moving to Sanborn a year and a half ago with his daughter. A Fireman/Engineer employed by both the Lehigh Valley Railroad and NY Central for 42 years, Harold also worked for O’Connor Farms for many years.
A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Harold was a former member of the O. Leo Curtiss American Legion Post #830 in Ransomville.
He is survived by his children, Edward (Pat), F. Joseph (Andrea), Linda, Susan (Ronald) Martin, Dr. Harold V. (Linda) Reubens, and Eileen (John) Chatley; sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also surviving is his former wife Roberta Power. He was predeceased by Four sisters and nine brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 15, at 10:00 AM at Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd., North Tonawanda, Rev. Thomas Kraft officiating. Family available to call on at 9:00 am, service begins at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the O. Leo Curtiss American Legion Post #830, PO Box 98, Ransomville, NY 14131. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY.
