Obituary of Irene Wrobel

Irene Wrobel, age 95 of Lewiston, formerly of Youngstown, died Tuesday February 11, 2014 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a brief illness. Irene was born April 11, 1918 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late John and Martha (Chica) Augustine. She married William L. Wrobel in July of 1937. William predeceased her in 1961. Irene had worked for a number of years at Carborundum Co. and provided child care for many area families. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church, in Youngstown and prayed the Rosary daily. She loved to be with her family and grandchildren and was an avid NY Yankees fan. She is survived by her children, Nancy C. Wrobel of Lewiston, Ronald M. (Carol) Wrobel of Newfane and Patricia (Bob) Lyall of Prescott, AZ; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Wrobel; a son, William L. Wrobel, Jr.; and 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Services and Burial will be private. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to St. Bernard's RC Church, 218 Hinman St., Youngstown, NY 14174. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
