Obituary of Marguerite D. Eydt

Marguerite D."Marnie" Eydt, age 54 of Lewiston , died suddenly on Sunday December 18, 2011 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Marnie was born September 19, 1957 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Marguerite (Sweeney) Farella of Niagara Falls and the late Dominic Farella. She was a graduate of Madonna High School, received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the Rochester Institute of Technology, and her Master's Degree in Education from Niagara University. Marnie moved to Lewiston from Niagara Falls in 1981 and married Victor E. Eydt on October 1, 1983. Marnie began her career as a Teacher, home schooling children for 7 years. She then was employed by Bedore Tours for 9 years as a Tour Guide. Following that, for 2 years Marnie was an Assistant Director of a Group Home for Onesmiss Community Missions in Niagara Falls. Since September of this year, she has been the Assistant Director of the Lewiston Senior Center. She was a member of the Ladies of The Moose Lower Niagara Lodge #1940, and attended St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston. She was an avid reader and loved her many pets, especially her cats. Most of all Marnie loved spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, Marguerite, and her husband, Victor; she is survived by her sons, Victor J. Eydt of Niagara Falls and Kyle F. Eydt of Lewiston; two brothers, Joseph Farella of Niagara Falls and Michael Farella of Holly, PA; her mother in law, Elizabeth Eydt; her brothers in law, Ronald (Cammie) Eydt of Madisonville, TN and Danny (Ellen) Eydt of Manchester, TN; an aunt, Sister Jude Marie Sweeney of Stoney Creek, Ontario,Canada; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will dearly miss her. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Tuesday from 3 - 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21, at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Michael Zuffoletto officiating.
