Obituary of Constance C. Kosakowski

Constance C. "Connie" Kosakowski, age 75 of Lewiston died Monday May 9, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
Connie was born August 29,1935 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Lucien and Ivy (Corbet) Carriere. She was a 1953 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and on August 13, 1960 she married William G. Kosakowski. They moved to Lewiston in 1964 and William predeceased her on September 20, 2006. Connie was a Civilian Base Contractor, overseeing and evaluating the base Contracts for the Department of the Air Force's 914th Tactical Air Group in Niagara Falls for 36 years, retiring in 1997.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, numerous genealogical societies, and the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. She most loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters, Corinne (Michael) Kroening of Niagara Falls, and Colleen (Robert) Giordano of Lewiston; her grandchildren, Robert Giordano, Jr. and Alexis Giordano; a
sister, Patricia (late William) Rotella of Greenfield, WI; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sharon Carriere and a brother, John Carriere.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 13, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Bellingham officiating. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lewiston, 505 Cayuga St., Lewiston, NY 14092, the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092, or to the Historical Center of Niagara County, 215 Niagara St., Lockport, NY 14094.
