Please share a memory of Kim to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kim M. Quarantillo of the Village of Lewiston passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on October 13, 1953, in Niagara Falls, NY, Kim married the former Joan E. Napier on May 18, 1974, at St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston, NY. Kim was a passionate drag racer at local speedways with his race car buddies and "Gasser Gang" and a dirt track racer at Ransomville Speedway, proudly known as a "Chevy guy." He owned and operated Down River Bait and Tackle in the Village of Lewiston from 1989 to 2007. Kim loved being a father to his four daughters and "Dadoo" to his five grandchildren. He was a truck driver for Certo Bros in Niagara Falls, NY, retiring in 1997. A die-hard Bills fan and a lover of the NY Yankees. Kim "adopted" anyone who needed a father figure and never turned down anyone wanting to use his garage to learn how to work on their vehicles. Kim is predeceased by his siblings, Ralph, Richard, Donald, Milo, and David Quarantillo; brothers-in-law's Jim Smith and Thomas Napier; and son-in-law Matthew Robare; and nephew Andrew Napier. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joan; loving daughters, Katherine Quarantillo, Tricia (Dennis) Sweatman, Julie Quarantillo, and Kelly (Brian) Strickland; cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Carly, Maddalyn, Copper, and Julian; caring siblings, Glen (Terry) Quarantillo, Gail Smith, Darlene (Rich) Condino, Joy (John) Neville, James (Carol), and Tim (Vicky) Quarantillo; dear in-law's, Lori Quarantillo, Judith (Bryan Aaker) and Tim Napier; best friend John H. Roush and his children; also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Hardison Funeral Homes, Inc., 401 Ridge Street, Lewiston (N. Fourth & Ridge Streets), where Funeral Services will follow at 7 PM. Friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kim's memory to the Wounded Warriors Project.
