Obituary of Grace E. Scott

Grace E. Scott, age 92, formerly of the Town of Cambria, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. Grace was born June 26, 1931, in Mifflinburg, PA, the daughter of the late Archie and Rachael (Oakes) Smith. She was a 1949 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and married Charles D. Scott on July 22, 1954. She and Charles had resided in the Town of Cambria since 1960. Grace was a self-employed Beautician and Hairdresser for many many years. She was an active member of the former Grace Episcopal Church in Lockport and had also attended North Ridge United Methodist Church. Grace was devoted to her family filling their home with love and laughter. She loved to babysit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grace also loved to knit, gardening and canning, as well as traveling. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, on August 24, 1992. She is survived by her children; Donald Scott, Kim Smith, David (Patti) Scott, and Ruth Ann ((Butch) Bradley; a brother-in-law, James Scott; and 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Jean Dolan, Mary Burton, Dorothy Capatosta, and Ruth Smith. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville on Friday, March 1, from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with Richard Craig officiating.
