Obituary of Matthew J. Laughlin

Matthew J. Laughlin, age 51 of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Saturday January 22, 2011 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Matthew was born November 10, 1959 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Matthew and Mary (Beretta) Laughlin of Lewiston. A lifelong resident of Lewiston, he was a 1978 graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. For over 20 years Matthew worked as a plumber out of Steamfitters & Plumbers Union Local #129 in Niagara Falls, NY and had also worked for the City of Niagara Falls as a plumber.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snow skiing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his nephews and family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Michael (Julie) Laughlin of Lewiston; his
nephews, Michael, Jr. and Andrew Laughlin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Wednesday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
