Obituary of Patience E. Olson
Patience E. “Pat” Olson joined her savior on January 13, 2019. She was born in Great Bend, PA on October 19, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Reba Judd Emerson and beloved wife of the late Clifford J. Olson. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage and two wonderful children Lynda C. Olson Williams of Lewiston, NY and Paul E. (Kimberly) Olson of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by 4 grandsons Kris (Nicole) Olson, Jared (Jillian) Williams, Kory (Becky) Olson and Morgan Olson; 5 great grandchildren Kolton, Joshua, Jackson, Nina and Rosie. Pat is predeceased by her 3 brothers Howard, Clifton and Richard and 1 sister Ruth.
She retired from Indiana Wesleyan University as an Assistant Professor in Nursing. Her first love in nursing was the critical care units where she continued to work part time and full time until the age of 75. In 1988 Pat and her husband retired to Florida until May of 2006 where they came back north to be near their daughter Lynda.
