Obituary of Antonio C. Spina

Antonio C. Spina, 85 of Lewiston, NY husband of Joanna Marino Spina entered into rest on Sunday January 13, 2019 in the Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence.

Born in Pietrafitta, Italy on July 11, 1933 he was the son of the late Carlo and the late Rachele Carrotelli Spina. Antonio Moved to the United States in 1955 when he was just 22 years old. Mr. Spina married Joanna Marino on October 19, 1957. Antonio was a bricklayer for Local Union #3 of Buffalo working for Union Carbide for 20 years and continued on as a private contractor until 2008. As a bricklayer, he was very proud of working on a countless number of private and commercial buildings and monuments including the archway at Goat Island.  He was a member of the Cristoforo Colombo Society, and the Niagara Falls Bocce Club.  He also enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are his wife: Joanna; his daughter Carmella (Alan) Wildt; his sons Ralph (Kim Pardee) Spina and Mario (Marilyn Patterson) Spina, along with 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  He is predeceased by a son, Carlo Spina.

NO PRIOR VISITATION. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on THURSDAY (Jan. 17) at 10:00 am at St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, NY with Rev. Steward Lindsay officiating (Please assemble at the church)

Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery Town of Lewiston, NY.
