Obituary of Marilyn E. Harbison
Marilyn Emelia Harbison, age 79 lifelong resident of Ransomville, died Sunday September 30, 2018 in the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, after a brief illness.
Marilyn was born August 11, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Domenick and Rose (Antonacci) Lozzi. She was employed as a School Bus Driver by Ransomville Bus Lines for 20 years before joining the Niagara County Department of Social Services where she was a clerk/case worker for 15 years, retiring in 2003.
Marilyn was a communicant of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Ransomville and a 59-year member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid and talented quilter and enjoyed crafts, bowling, playing cards, camping, and NASCAR racing. Marilyn especially loved spending time with her family and friends, and attending her grandchildren's stock car and motocross races.
She married James A. Harbison on December 13, 1958. Jim predeceased her in 2003. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Sue) Harbison, Denise (Gene) Cevaer, Janice (Ronald) Watson, and Susan (John) Gorman; her beloved grandchildren, Karin (Jason) Johannes, James Harbison, Ashley (Richard, Jr.) Blech, Marc and Steven Cevaer, Lacee, Kristin, and Abigail Watson; a brother, Nick (late Dorothy) Lozzi; and two sisters, Norma (Joseph) Heindle and Geraldine (late Fred) Vanoni.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 4, at 10:00 AM in the Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Townline Rd. (Rte. 429) Ransomville, with the Rev. James Bastian officiating. (Please assemble at Church) In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131.
