Obituary of MaryLynn Hatfield
Please share a memory of MaryLynn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Saturday, April 21, 2018, Heaven gained a beautiful angel. MaryLynn Hatfield, 74, of Youngstown went home to be with her Heavenly Father surrounded by her loving family.
Born June 24, 1943 in Silver Creek, NY, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Lillian (Dearborn) Dattilo. MaryLynn was a graduate of Lewiston Porter High School as well as Bryant and Stratton School of Business. Before her retirement she worked as a Supervisor for the Lewiston Queenston Duty Free Shop in Lewiston. After retirement MaryLynn opened a gift shop in Ransomville and sold her product at home shows and various local businesses.
December of 1962 she married the love of her life, Robert L. Hatfield who predeceased her in September of 2003. Family was of utmost importance to MaryLynn. When her children were growing up they enjoyed many special traditions such as making homemade Chinese food together and gardening. MaryLynn loved flowers of all kinds and enjoyed gardening immensely. She had a love for singing and classical music. They had a special Christmas Eve gathering where there were always little sandwiches and goodies and punch that continues through tradition to this day. Above all MaryLynn's greatest love and joy were her children, especially her 5 grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed until the day they are all reunited again. Fly high Mom, you are free!
MaryLynn leaves behind a son, Robert J. Hatfield (Deana Godwin) of Niagara Falls, NY; a daughter, Michelle E. (Jason) Naughton of Youngstown, and her cherished grandchildren Nicholas (Kelsey), Anthony, and Emily Hatfield, and Joseph and Olivia Naughton.
