Obituary of Joseph "Mitch" M. DuFort
Joseph M. “Mitch” DuFort, age 51 of Niagara Falls NY, died unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday December 16, 2017.
Mitch was born December 15, 1966 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Mitchell and Sybil (Law) DuFort and was a 1983 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He was employed as the manager of the Red Apple Convenience Store in Niagara Falls, NY. Mitch enjoyed fishing in the Niagara Gorge, reading and spending time with his family. He was a diehard San Diego Chargers fan.
He is survived by his sister, Marie A. (Todd) Davidson of Lewiston; his nieces and nephews, Robert Homewood (Ryann McKenzie), Jaclyn Davidson (Michael Rossman), and William Davidson; his great nephews and great niece, Robert and Courtney Homewood, and William Rossman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth DuFort and a niece, Alyssa Heath.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., WNY Chapter, 315 Alberta Dr., Amherst, NY 14226. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
