Obituary of Robert A. Band, Jr.
Robert A. "Bob" Band, Jr., age 57 of Youngstown NY, died Sunday November 26, 2017 in the Buffalo General Medical Center after a long illness.
Bob was born February 25, 1960 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Robert A. Sr. and Joyce (Raybon) Band Gall. He was a 1978 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and had been employed as a Nursing Assistant by Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for 10 years.
He was a former member of the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1. He loved camping in Alleghany State Park and his pet dogs.
He is survived by two sons, Robert A. (Nikita) Band, III and Ryan Band both of Youngstown; a grandson, Robert A. Band, IV; a sister, Donna Fallesen of Youngstown, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Denise Canfield and Carol P. Band.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 9, at 12:00 Noon in HARDISON FUNERAL HOME N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston with the Rev. Charles Lamb officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092.
