Betty was 10 when I was born so she was always my "big" sister and a wonderful one. When I was just a kid she was working in NF, probably at Bell Aircraft helping build war planes for WW2. Every payday she would buy me
something pretty to wear to school and she even bought me a new bicycle. Everyone enjoyed her canned goods which she loved to do. Bose grew it and she canned it. And she was such a talented knitter - socks, hats, gloves, sweaters - if you could wear it she could knit it. And who doesn't remember the pound puppies and cabbage patch dolls she made. They are a treasure. She and Bose raised 3 wonderful sons and we are all proud of them. Betty is our role model for bravery, love and perserverance and I will miss her always. She was just a remarkable person and I thank God for being part of her life. Love you Betty-----vyxe

I first met Betty in high school,at Wilson. At that time I didn't know that she would turn out to be my sister in-law. That was a true friendship that lasted for many years to come. I could always depend on Betty for support and help in any situation. She a "no nonsense" approach to life and a wonderful sense of humor. Her laughter was so infectious and unique. She could always make you smile. I'm sorry not be there for her services, but I will say many prayers for her and Bose. I loved her and will miss her so much. Marie Goodman

When I think of my Aunt Betty and all of her brothers and sisters I am amazed at what a remarkable family I am in. Happy, funny, laid back--no wonder they have all stayed married (and have been an inspiration to the rest of us). Aunt Betty, you will be missed dearly.
