Obituary of Siegfried R. Boelter
Siegfried "Zig" R. Boelter, age 76 of Lewiston passed into eternal life on Saturday November 18, 2017 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston after a long illness.
Zig was born May 19, 1941 in Germany and has lived in Lewiston since 1993. He was a meat cutter for Tops Market on Grand Island for over 40 years. He was an avid gardener and a benefactor to many charities who believed in helping those less fortunate. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965.
Zig was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Betty J. Verguson and is survived by his step daughters, JoAnn (Brian) Donohue. Susan (Mark) Cook, and Darcy (James) Filipovich-Silver.
As were his wishes, there will be private services and no visitation, however his family would like to thank the many people who cared for and about him throughout the years. He will be missed by many. Donations in his memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston. .
