Obituary of Roger M. Adamson

Roger M. Adamson, age 77 of Ransomville, died Saturday June 17, 2017 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness.

 

Roger was born November 17, 1939 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Leo D. and Hazel (Baldwin) Adamson. He was a 1957 graduate of Wilson High School and has lived in Ransomville the past 51 years. Roger served his country as a paratrooper with 101st Airborne from 1960 to 1962. On December 28, 1963 he married Mary (Poplinski) Adamson. Roger was employed by E.I. DuPont in Niagara Falls, NY for 30 years, retiring in 2000 as a Field Machinist.

 

He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church in Ransomville. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the Niagara River Anglers Association as well a member of the DuPont 25 year Club. Roger enjoyed gardening and sports. He was an avid Bill's, Sabre's and Bison's fan.

 

He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Carolyn Adamson; a son, David Adamson; and a brother, Joseph (Arline) Adamson. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 8, at 10:00 am in Immaculate Conception RC Church, 4671 Townline Rd. (Rte. 429) Ransomville, with the Rev. James Bastian officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERALHOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY.
