Obituary of James W. Evans, PhD

James W. Evans, PhD, age 66 of Ransomville NY, died Wednesday April 19, 2017.
He was born May 28, 1950 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of Walter and Shirley (Owens) Evans of Wilson. Jim was a Clinical Psychologist who helped countless people. In his lifetime he was an accomplished Reverend, Doctor, and Charter Fishing Captain. He was known for his creative mind and his ingenuity. Jim's favorite pastimes were reading, relaxing by the water, and fishing.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maureen (O'Connor) Evans, and a brother, David Evans.
In addition to his parents Walter and Shirley, he is survived by his sons, Tom (Christina) Evans and Danny (Shelly) Evans; his grandchildren, Emily, Audrey, Timothy, Matthew, and Ophelia; his siblings, Mary Lou (Greg) Carter, Suzy (David) Polasky, and Paul (Betsy) Evans; and his girlfriend, Karen Abbo.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 24, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Stephen Hay officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
