Obituary of Robert Arthur Shank

Robert Arthur Shank, age 53 of Ransomville, died suddenly on Friday March 3, 2017.
Bob was born April 18, 1963 in Ransomville, the son of Helen Dietz Sider and the late Gerald Shank. He was a 1982 graduate of Wilson Central School and the Niagara Orleans BOCES Building Trades Program. Bob was employed as a commercial carpenter for 30 years working for numerous Buffalo companies, including Gypsum Systems and Mandon Building Systems.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping with his wife, son and friends. He was a member of the Wilson Conservation Club and the Niagara River Anglers Association.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Marcita (Rayl) Shank; his son Evan Shank; his mother, Helen; his brothers, Stephen, Bryan (Tammy), and Ricky (Noreen) Shank; his sister, Vicky (Kenny) Schmidli; his sisters in law, Darci (Orlando) Pazzalia and Stephanie (Wesley) Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on
Tuesday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 8, at 10:00 AM in the Community Bible Church, 4168 Church Rd., Town of Cambria, with the Rev. Brad Delp officiating. Burial will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wilson Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1, P.O. Box 609, 250 Young St., Wilson, NY 14172 or the Wilson Conservation Club, 2934 Wilson Cambria Road, Wilson, NY 14172.
