Obituary of Bonnie Jakubec

Juanita D. "Bonnie" Jakubec, age 58 of Newfane, passed from this life on Sunday, December 11, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, with the loving care of her family by her side. Bonnie was born January 6, 1958 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Smith) Pries. She was a homemaker for many years. Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family and being with her grandbabies. She enjoyed Friday night bingo and playing at the casino with her sister. She had a love for the outdoors, especially at "camp crazy". Bonnie's goal in life was to make one person laugh every day. And if she got more than one, she exceeded her goal. She always put others before herself. Bonnie battled many illnesses her entire life but never lost faith. Her strength in life was admired by many. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend. She had a special bond with her daughters that will never be broken. She is survived by "her girls", Sonya (Webb) Nashwinter of Wilson, and Jennifer Jakubec of Newfane; her adored grandbabies who knew her as Nana, Colten, Brooklyn, and Easton Nashwinter. Her loving pet and "buddy" Rocko; five siblings, Janis (Jerry) Swearengen of Model City, NY, Debbie (late Steve) Wojasinski of Lewiston, Penny (Phil) Belviso of Youngstown, Eddie (Kimmie) Pries of Florida, and Darlene (Dwight) Lancaster of Texas; many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband and soul mate of 42 years, William "Willie" Jakubec; two sisters, Judy Bennion and Shirley DiPasquale; and a brother, Gene Pries. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 17, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Haefer officiating.
