Obituary of Mary Louise Campbell

Mary Louise Campbell, age 90 of Lewiston, died Thursday November 10, 2016 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Mary Lou was born on July 13, 1926, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Domenica (Chiminto) Antolene. She was born and raised in the "Little Yellow House" on Center St. in Lewiston. Mary Lou graduated from the Red Brick School House in Lewiston in 1943. Initially she was employed as a Nanny for the Hooker Family. She then worked for Bell Telephone in the late 1940's. On August 26, 1950 she married Harvey Campbell who predeceased her in on May 31, 1973. In the mid 1970's Mary Lou worked in the cafeteria at Lewiston-Porter Central Schools. She was a communicant of St. Peter RC Church in Lewiston. Mary Lou enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes and cook books. She had a beautiful singing voice and was a great story teller. She is survived by her nieces, Carol Burmaster, Pat Zahno, Mary Jo (Joe) Laduca, and Rita (Mike) Rutledge; a nephew, Paul (Maryann) Copeland, and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine Copeland and Mayme DeLill; four brothers, Ambrose, Eugene, Joseph, and Anthony Antolene; and nieces, B.J. Kile and Michele Figura. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and nurses on 2 West at Our Lady of Peace for the wonderful care they gave to Mary Lou. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16, at 10:00 AM in St. Peter RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating. (Please assemble at Church) There will be no prior visitation. Burial will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Lewiston Volunteer Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Fund, 145 N. 6th St. P.O. Box 748, Lewiston, NY 14092. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N.
