Obituary of Judith E. Kay

It is with deep regret we announce that, Judith E. Kay, age 82, of Youngstown, wife of 60 years to Howard R. Kay died Friday, November 24th, 2023, at ECMC in Buffalo, NY. Judy was born on March 13, 1941, in Niagara Falls, NY. She is the daughter of the late Howard and the late Janet (Sherlock) Morgan. Judy was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and went on to attend Ohio University. She married Howard R. Kay on December 29th, 1963. She was employed by the Niagara Gazette as a Feature Reporter for 20 plus years, then going on to work public relations at the Niagara Falls Aquarium. Judy was a member of the Women’s Writers, was very active with the Girl Scouts of America organization, active with the alumni from the Gazette and also the Mental Health Association of Niagara County. Judy was a very wonderful writer, animal lover, humorous person. She also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Surviving is her husband; Howard Kay; her son’s Adam and Jason Kay; her siblings, Sue “Susie” (Harold) Barnes and Jeffrey (Gail) Morgan; her grandson, Zachariah Kay. She is predeceased by her brother, Capt. Dennis (Late Rose) Morgan Services will be private with her family. Burial will be in Oakland Rural Cemetery, Town of Porter, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304. Arrangements entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC. Ransomville.
