Marjorie S. Burnett, age 88, of Ransomville, wife of the late Gerald E. ”Skip” Burnett passed away on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Amherst, NY. Mrs. Burnett was born on October 23rd, 1934, in Youngstown, NY. She is the daughter of the late Harry and the late Florence (Martin) Sawyer. She was employed by the Town of Lewiston, NY Water Department as a clerk for 23 years, retiring in 1991. Marjorie enjoyed quilting, sewing, and crocheting. Surviving is her children; Douglas Burnett (Mary Grimes), Judy Boyce (Michael Falk); her grandchildren, Jeremy Boyce, Steven (Meghan) Burnett and John (Julie) Burnett; 8 great grandchildren, Torin, Ainsley, Sylvie, Charlotte, Nolan, Austin, Kayleigh, and Callan, also her sister-in-law Laura Sawyer. She is predeceased by her daughter in law Catherine Burnett, granddaughter, Jennifer Boyce and 6 siblings Wallace, Robert, Francis (May) Sawyer, Berylmarie (Elton) Zastrow, Winona Ellwein (George Reed) and Beverly (Gerald) Wiepert. Private graveside and burial will be held in Dickersonville Cemetery, Town of Lewiston, NY Memorials may be made to Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131.
