Dorothy Nowicki, 80 of Wilson, NY died Saturday March 4, 2017 in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport. Dorothy was born in Buffalo, NY on December 14, 1936 to the late John and Katherine (Olszowa) Czajkowski. She graduated from St.Mary’s Business School in Buffalo in 1953. She married the love of her life Leonard Nowicki on June 17, 1961 and moved to Randall Rd. Ransomville where they lived for 45 years, Leonard passed away in 1995. Dorothy enjoyed knitting; quilting; spending time at the Lewiston Senior Center but mostly spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by 3 children; Shirley Nowicki of Wilson, Peter (Denine) Nowicki of Conesus, NY and John (Susan) Nowicki of Lewiston. Also survived by 4 grandchildren; Nicholas; Julia; Peter Jr. ”PJ” and Tessa and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by numerous brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday March 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM from St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church 3455 Ewings Rd. Newfane with Rev. Jozef Dudzek officiating. NO PRIOR VISITATION. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Lewiston. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice 4675 Sunset Dr. Lockport, NY 14094.
