Marjorie R. Carlin, 87, of Lewiston, NY, died on December 29, 2016 in Our Lady Of Peace after lengthy a illness. Born in Niagara Falls on January 26, 1929 to the late Burr and Mary (Flanigan) Payne and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Niagara Falls, on June 26, 1948. She married John J. Carlin and resided in Ransomville from 1954-1979 and then moved to Lewiston until 2014. John predeceased her on November 13, 2011. Marjorie was a past president of the Lioness Club; The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Peter's RC Church, Lewiston; was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing and traveling with her husband in their retirement years. She is survived by her six children, John J. Carlin, Jr. of Clearwater, FL, Catherine (Richard) Wampler of Columbus, OH, Christopher (Debbie) Carlin of Ransomville, Patricia (Robert) Koryl of Youngstown, Pamela (Peter) Ploumidis of Minneapolis, MN and Deborah Hvide of Spain; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews her caregiver, Shirley Fiocco. A special thanks to the staff on 2 West at Our Lady Of Peace . She was predeceased by four brothers, William, Frank, Howard and Robert Payne. Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth and Ridge Sts., Lewiston, NY on MONDAY from 4-8 PM. A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (January 3rd) at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's RC Church 620 Center St. Lewiston, NY with Msgr. David LiPuma officiating. Burial to follow at Dickersonville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Niagara County, SPCA 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
