Lloyd Wiepert

Lloyd F. Wiepert, age 80 of the Town of Cambria, passed away on Tuesday April 13, 2010 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Lloyd was born October 24, 1929 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Louis and Mabel (Hecht) Wiepert and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. Employed by Bell Aerospace in Wheatfield for 30 years, he was a machine repairman retiring in 1992. He also owned and operated his own business, Lloyd Wiepert Electric. Lloyd built three houses in his lifetime, two of which were his family homes. On February 4, 1950 he married Joyce E. (Griffin) Wiepert and they have resided in Cambria the past 45 years. Lloyd was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church at North Ridge. He was also a proud member of the Seven Clan Archery Club and the recipient of many trophies and honors for his skills. He enjoyed hunting, camping, traveling, and fixing things. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Joyce; a daughter, Donna Bailey-Hillman of Lockport; his grandchildren, Jody , Karrie (Kevin), and Amy Catalano, Jesse (Joanna) and Kevin (MIchelle) Bailey, Timothy Brosius and Kenneth (Luz) Hillman; his brothers, Harold (the late Ellen) Wiepert of Ransomville, Carl Wiepert of Lockport, and Merton (the late Gloria) Wiepert of Ransomville; a sister in law, Beverly "Boots" Wiepert of Ransomville; Nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two daughters, Mary (the late Jody) Catalano and Terry (Ron) Brosius ; and three brothers, Louis, Donald, and Gerald Wiepert. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Thursday, April 15, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Alexander Knowles officiating. Burial will follow in the Hartland Central Cemetery, Hartland. Flowers are gratefully declined.
