Jean E. Krieger, age 72 of Youngstown, died Monday November 7, 2016 in Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, after a brief illness.
Jean was born September 23, 1944 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Warren W. and Loraine C. (Fish) Mathewson. She was a Medical Transcription employed by Medquist (formerly MRC) and served as Manager of their offices in Buffalo, St Louis, MO and Jacksonville, FL for over 30 years, retiring in 2006. Jean loved camping, was a passionate tatter, an avid reader and dog lover especially all things Scottie.
She is survived by her devoted son, Vernon "Buddy" E. Krieger of Youngstown; her beloved sister, Carol Mathewson of Youngstown,; her granddaughter, Elizabeth M. Krieger of Mechanicsville, VA; her Scotties, "Maggie Mae" and "Celtie" Cream Of Wheaton Stock; and her best friend, Rita Schultz of Amherst.
Jean's family would like to thank the Staff at Sisters of Charity Hospital and Buffalo Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care.
Services at Acacia Park Cemetery, Town of Pendleton, will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston. Memorials may be made to Hospice Foundation of WNY, 225 Como Park Blvd. P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240.
