Albert S."Butch" Jordan, age 64 of Ransomville, died Friday April 9, 2010 surrounded by his loving family in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a brief illness. Butch was born January 18, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late LeRoy and Barbara (Lesko) Jordan. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on June 13, 1963 and served until his honorable discharge on January 11, 1967. His last duty assignment was aboard the aircraft carrier, USS America and he was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. Butch began working as an assembly line worker at Delphi-Harrison Thermal Systems in Lockport in 1967 and retired in 1997 after 30 years of service. He married Linda S. (Gray) Jordan on May 1, 1971. Butch was a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company as well as being an Exempt Member. He was also a member of the Lockport V.F.W. and the United Auto Workers. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and being with his family and friends. He is survived by wife, Linda S. Jordan of Ransomville; his sons, Christopher (Jackie) Jordan of Tonawanda and Joseph Jordan (Jason) of Ransomville; two sisters, Barbara Reed (Peter Clark) of Lockport and Pamela Sherwin of Lewiston; a brother, LeRoy (Dorothy) Jordan of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to join his family in a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 17, after 1:00 pm at his residence, 2498 Youngstown Lockport Rd., Ransomville. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
