Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" Drennan, age 56 of Youngstown, died unexpectedly on Monday September 26, 2016 at her residence. Mary Beth was born February 2, 1960 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Langdon D., Jr. and Mildred H. (Phillips) Drennan and has lived in Youngstown since 1970. She was a graduate of Niagara Catholic High School and received a degree in Social Science from Niagara University. Mary Beth was a Nutrition Service Assistant with the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) Program, employed by the Catholic Charities of Buffalo for over thirty years. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's RC Church in Youngstown. Mary Beth enjoyed needlepoint and knitting especially for her precious nieces and nephews. She is survived by her siblings, Kathleen A. (Michael) Flaherty, John P. (Max), Michael J. (Jacqueline), and Thomas G. (Michelle) Drennan, Margaret M. (Reeve) Tower, Jean F. (Tom) Snyder, Anne Marie (Steve) Willms, Daniel G. and Patrick G. (Carolyn) Drennan; and twelve nieces and thirteen nephews. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday from 5 - 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 30, at 10:30 AM in St. Bernard's RC Church, Second and Hinman Sts., Youngstown, with the Rev. William Allegretta officiating. (Please assemble at Church). Burial will follow in St. Bernard's RC Cemetery, Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Mary Beth in a special way can make a contribution in her memory to the WIC Program c/o Catholic Charities of Buffalo, 741 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, NY 14209.
