Obituary of Douglas Stuart Diez

Douglas Stuart Diez, 49, of Cape Canaveral, FL, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
He was born March 10, 1967 in Lewiston, the son of Connie L. (Campbell) and the late Douglas F. Diez. He graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1985 and from Bucknell University in 1989 as Highest Standing in his Chemical Engineering Class.
He was employed at various companies across the country with the most recent being
at Mainstream Engineering in Rockledge, Florida. He enjoyed a wide variety of music and excelled at anything he put his mind to; playing the violin, self-taught guitar player and micro brewing. He enjoyed life and all it had to offer and he loved to make people laugh with his quick wit.
He is survived by his wife, Adriana (dos Santos Leite) and step-daughter, Jeniffer
Xavier; his mother Connie (Campbell) Diez; his sister, Suzanne; his brother, Jeremy (Audrey); his nephews and nieces, Benjamin, Serena, Troy and Aurora; his step-grandmother, Naomi Campbell; his cherished aunts and uncle, Shirley Woolard, Sue Diez, Sandy, and Dave Guzewich; many dear cousins especially his close cousin, Jim Diez who was like a brother to him. He is also survived by his first wife Ember Crippen.
He was predeceased by his father Douglas Diez; his uncles, Richard Diez and Lester
Woolard; and his grandparents Frank and Frances Diez, James and Marilda Campbell.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday, September 9, from 5 – 8 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown, 100 Church St., Youngstown, with the Rev. Rex Stewart and Rev Charles Lamb officiating. Burial will be at the discretion of the family in Oakland Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 6430 Transit Rd., Suite 200, Depew, NY 14043 or The First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown.
