Lorraine M.B. Thomson, age 83 of Lewiston, died Tuesday August 30, 2016 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a long illness.
Lorraine was born September 16, 1932 in East York, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of the late Thomas and Janet C. (Forbes) Paterson. She was raised in Niagara Falls, NY and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. On March 7, 1952 she married Alexander Thomson, III and they lived in LaSalle for many years. Lorraine had worked for at time at Wendt's Dairy in the 1960's. After Alexander retired in 1989 they moved to New Port Richey, FL. After 20 years they returned to live in Lewiston in 2009. Alexander predeceased her on April 16, 2016.
Lorraine was a longtime member of the Bacon Memorial Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls and a past Matron and member of the Order of Eastern Star LaSalle Lodge.
She is survived by two sons, David (Sally) Thomson of Youngstown and Glenn (Carol) Thomson of Doylestown, PA; a daughter, Janet Eagen of Royalton, NY; her grandchildren, Philip and Bryan (Amanda) Thomson, Katie (Alan) Rodriguez, and Kelly (Anthony) Romantini; and five great grandchildren. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
