Ransomville, Wayne C. Thompson, age 66 of Ransomville NY, died Tuesday (8/16) in the Mount St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY.
Wayne C. "Grumpy" Thompson, 66, of Ransomville died unexpectedly Tuesday August 9, 2016. Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on September 2, 1949 to the late Richard C. and Irene (Kransinski) Thompson, Wayne was a graduate of Lewiston Porter HIgh School in 1967, and was employed by Occidental Chemical Co.in NIagara Falls as a tank car loader for 46 years. Retiring in January 2016, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. On October 18, 1986 wayne was married to Mary (Rafferty) (Lozo) Thompson. In addition to his wife, he is survivied by his stepchildren; Robert (Annette) Lozo, Katrina (Edward) Bell; his children, Karen, Steven and Christine Thompson, two brothers, Michael (Terrie) Thompson, David Thompson; one sister, Sally Nolan and sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepson Lance Lozo in September 2006. Friends may call at the Hardison Funeral Home 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Sunday (August 14) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 am from the funeral home with Rev. Richard Gorrow, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In leui of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
