Obituary of Mary Joan A. Hannah

A lifelong resident of Youngstown, Miss Hannah passed away at her home on May 26, 2016.
Miss Hannah enjoyed a 35 year career as a math teacher for the Lewiston-Porter Central Schools where her reputation for excellence was legendary. After retirement she delivered Meals on Wheels for the Niagara County Department of the Aging for many years. She was an active member of St. John Episcopal Church, serving on vestry and altar guild. An avid Bridge player, she played weekly with various community groups. Her passions included collecting Annalee dolls and 'everything owl'.
Survivors include her brothers, Dr. Robert W. (late Barbara) Hannah of Naples, FL, Dr. Arthur J. (Judith) Hannah Sr. of Youngstown, nephews, Matthew (Monica) Hannah, John (Darci)Hannah, Steven (Tina) Hannah, 'Rick" (Meredith)Hannah, A.J. Hannah Jr. and nieces Becky(Scott)Specht, Clare (Merrill) Krabbel, Mary Heather (James) West and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Friday, August 12, from 4-7PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, at 11:00 AM in St. John Episcopal Church, Main & Chestnut Sts. Youngstown. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 387, Youngstown, NY 14174 or to St. John Episcopal Church.
