_____________________________________________________________________ Lois Ann Kelley, age 74 of the Town of Wheatfield, died Tuesday March 30, 2010 in the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane after a long illness. Ann was born April 16, 1935 in Brookville, PA, the daughter of the late Ralph and Pearl (White) Daugherty. As a teenager, Ann worked summers for Spirella in Niagara Falls. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1954 and began to work for Jenss Department Store in the credit department and on the switchboard. Ann was employed by Jenss, working at various locations until 1975. In 1975 she went to work as a switchboard operator at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Buffalo. In 1980 she took a Home Health Aide course and began working for the Niagara County Health Department, retiring in 1989. Ann married David A. Kelley on October 19, 1957 at Epiphany Episcopal Church in Niagara Falls. She was a member of the Church's Vestry and an active member of Epiphany's "Circle" women's group. In the 1970's Ann taught Sunday School there. She spent her recent years enjoying her friends and family, traveling several times to North Carolina to visit her daughter, son In law, and her five grandchildren who were the love of her life. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her daughter, Victoria "Tori" (Owen) Gidlow of Carolina Shores, NC; her grandchildren, Thomas, Kathryn, Daniel, and Haleigh Gidlow, and Kelley Lugo; a brother, William (Jean) Daugherty of Warren, PA; and a sister, Jean (Richard) Williams of Oil City, PA. She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Mary Lois Kelley; and two sisters, Martha Cantwell and Margaret "Jane" Wise. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Sunday from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 5, at 10:00 AM in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 400 Ridge St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Susan Keppy officiating. Burial will follow in the North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd. Town of Cambria.
