Michael R. Mydzian, Jr. age 78 of Lewiston, died suddenly on Friday July 15, 2016 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston. Michael was born September 23, 1937 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Michael R. Sr. and Anna (Haurusz) Mydzian. He was a 1955 graduate of McKinley Vocational High School and served on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1959. He received his Associates Degree in Tool and Die Making from Erie County Community College and began a 30 year career with Keller Technology in Tonawanda, retiring in 2002. He married Jennie (Sieczka) Mydzian on December 15, 1979. They were communicants and active members of St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston. Michael was a member of the Knights of Columbus; a member of the Lederhosen Ski Club in Buffalo, a member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club; a member of the 3 F Conservation Club and Hole Hi Archery Club. He was also a former member of the Woodcarving Club in Lewiston. In addition to his beloved wife, Jennie, he is survived by a brother, Donald (Judith) Mydzian of Tonawanda, and a nephew, Jack (Jenny) Mydzian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 20, at 11:00 am in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating. (Please assemble at Church) There will be no prior visitation. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES, INC., N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston, NY.
