Obituary of Hildegard W. Kightlinger

Hildegard W. Kightlinger, age 89 of Ransomville, died Tuesday July 5, 2016 in the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Facility in Lockport, after a long illness.
Hildegard was born November 17, 1926 in Dinkelsbibel, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Cilli (Dushel) Hoffmann. On September 15, 1948 she married Elgie P. Kightlinger and they immigrated to the U.S. in 1949 settling in Pennsylvania before coming to Ransomville in 1960. Besides being a homemaker raising her family, she assisted her husband working the family farm and worked at Pfeiffer Foods in Wilson.
Hildegard attended St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge. She loved sewing and making curtains.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Virginia) Kightlinger of Folkston, GA and Ronald Kightlinger of the Town of Cambria; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Donald Jr., Justin, and Elgie P. Kightlinger; a brother, Karl Hoffmann in Germany; and a daughter in law, Debbie Kightlinger of Ransomville. She was predeceased by two sons, Elgie P. and Herbert Kightlinger, and a granddaughter, Christine Banks.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 3 - 7 PM. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Todd Blackley officiating. Burial will follow in the North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice
