Kevin S. Broughton, age 62, died Saturday June 11, 2016 at his home in Lewiston, under the loving care of his family and Niagara Hospice.
Kevin was born July 15, 1953 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late John C. and Arlene (Spreeman) Broughton and was a 1971 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. He was a production worker, employed by Washington Mills in Niagara Falls, NY for 22 years, retiring in January of 2012.
Kevin enjoyed sailing and was an avid fan of the Bills and Sabres. He also enjoyed socializing with his friends at the Tin Pan Alley in Lewiston and Jon Fre's in Niagara Falls.
On March 3, 1990 he married JoAnn (Szostak) Broughton. In addition to JoAnn he is survived by two sons, John and Patrick Broughton; two sisters, Candace (Doug) Broughton-Wilder and Cheryl Buckley (Randy); and two brothers, Neil (Cindy) and Paul (Cheryl) Broughton. He was predeceased by a brother, John C. Broughton, Jr.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Wednesday, June 15, from 5 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094 or to the American Lung Association of NY State, 155 Washington Ave. Suite 210, Albany, NY 12210.
