Mary L. Jermy, age 69 of Tonawanda, died Sunday May 29, 2016 in the Garden Gate Health care Center in Cheektowaga.
Mary was born July 14, 1946 in Olean, NY, the daughter of the late William and Susie (Frederick) Nelligan. She graduated from Boliver High School and married John J. Jermy on July 21, 1963. John predeceased her in 1990.
Mary has lived in Tonawanda the past 20 years. She was a member of the Women's Home League of the Salvation Army. She loved Bingo and riding her scooter, but most of all loved being with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Bobbi Jo Jermy (Joe DiBenetto), John J. Jermy, Jr. (Melissa Cannon), Kevin, Thomas, and Bert Jermy; three sisters, Kathleen (Gary) Sherwood, Billie (Ralph) Haxton, and Eugena (Bruce) Thomas; a brother, Kenneth (Karen) Nelligan; 25 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and Michael Grover. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vicky Jermy; two sisters, Beverly (late Robert) Greene and Joann Nelligan; and a brother, James Nelligan.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 27, at 1:00 pm at the Salvation Army of Tonawanda, 46 Broad St., Tonawanda, NY. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville, NY.
