Ronald B. Goss, age 75 of Lockport formerly of Niagara Falls, died Monday May 16, 2016 in the Buffalo General Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Ron was born November 21, 1940 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Charles and Ruth (Kline) Goss. Ron worked for the Buffalo News for 34 years in advertising and composition and most recently in retail sales, retiring in 2007. An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Ron was a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club, the Niagara County Sportsman Club, and the Iroquois Arms. He was also a member of the Community Bible Church in the Town of Cambria, and the International Typographical Union. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, music festivals, and outdoor concerts.
Ron married Grace (Henninger) Goss on May 27, 1960. In addition to Grace, he is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Milan Lee) Carr of Ransomville and Kristen (Todd) Rodgers of Newfane; his grandchildren, Thomas and Matthew Carr, Jesse and Grace Rodgers; and a brother, David (Michele) Goss of Denver, CO and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Goss.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, at 11:00 am in the Community Bible Church, 4168 Church Rd. Town of Cambria, with the Rev. Brad Delp officiating. There will be no prior visitation. Flowers gratefully declined. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd. Ransomville.
Ron's family would like to acknowledge with thanks the care and compassion extended to them by the staffs of Mt. St. Mary's Hospital and Buffalo General Medical Center.
