Cecil P. Payne, age 69 of Niagara Falls NY, died Saturday April 16, 2016 after a lengthy illness. She was born March 29, 1947 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of the late James Sr. and Betty (Wulfert) Neal. Her family moved to Niagara Falls when she was a child and she attended local schools, graduating from Niagara Wheatfield High School.
Cecil married Timothy D. Payne in May of 1969. She was employed at Newfane Felt and worked as a Nurse's Aide at Stella Niagara for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, going for long walks, and spending time with her granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Tim; a son, Jonathan (Melissa) Payne of Del Ray Beach, FL; a daughter, Melissa Payne of Niagara Falls, NY; her granddaughter, Corrine Faithe of Niagara Falls; four brothers, James Neal, Jr. of Reynoldsville, PA , Robert (Emily), Jerry (Stella) and Denis (Debbie) Neal all of Niagara Falls, NY; an uncle, Guy Neal of Hemet, CA; an aunt, Molly Kingsley of Kingsport, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday, April 22, from 4 - 6 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00 pm in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Maines of the Forestview Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HANCI, 1302 Main St., Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
