Burton R. Williams, age 80 of Youngstown, died Saturday April 16, 2016 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Burt was born February 4, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Samuel S. and Eunice (Reynolds) Williams. He was a 1955 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and the following January he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until his honorable discharge in December of 1959. Burt married Dawn (Johnson) Williams on September 2, 1961 and they have resided in Youngstown since 1962. He was the Safety Coordinator for Lewiston-Porter Central School for 13 years, retiring in 1999. Previous to that he was employed by National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda. Burt was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved spending time at his hunting camp in Hinsdale, NY and was a member of the Portville Conservation Club. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Dawn; his children, Patricia (Greg) Hoszko of St. Catharines, Ontario, Sheryl (M. Scott) Barmasse of Houston, TX, and Burton R. "Rob" (Jennifer) Williams, Jr. of Madison, CT; his grandchildren, Madison, Matthew, Hagen, Marcus, Cassandra, and Carter; and a brother, Richard (Lois) Williams of Youngstown. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Thursday, April 21, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial will be private in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
