Youngstown, Hilda E Morris, age 91 of Youngstown NY, died Saturday, April 9,2016 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital Lewiston, NY.
Mrs. Morris was born in Keunigsberg,East Prussia, Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Emma (Stobbe) Pietsch and immigrated to the United States in 1948.
On September 13,1947 she married Richard E. Morris and after living in Virginia they moved to Youngstown NY in 1956. Richard passed away on December 6, 2007.
For many years she was a seamstress, making clothes for many families in Youngstown, but mostly she dedicated herself to her family and was an active member of St John Lutheran Church in Youngstown.
Hilda is survived by four children: Richard Grant (Micki)Morris, Randy E.(Becky) Morris, and Dennis P. Morris, all of Youngstown; and Ellen B. Halstead of Bergen NY: five grandchildren: Gretchen Baxter, Jennifer Rupp, Brandon, Derek and Julie Morris; a great grand daughter: Brielle Morris; and two sisters:
Gerda Powley and Erna Staddon.
No prior visitation. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at St John Lutheran Church, Youngstown.
