Although I didn't know Steve well, I knew from the minute we met what a special person he was. He welcomed me into your home immediately, as though we had been friends for years. I was lucky enough to have had some of his famous chowder and privileged to hear some of his great stories. He always credited you for helping him become the man he was - the love on his face and in his voice when he talked about you and Kaylee was undeniable. God bless you both and may His strength sustain you in the days and weeks to come.

Dear Debbie and Kaylee,
Words alone cannot express our feelings of sympathy and loss. We share in your grief, Steve was wonderful person, and a great friend. He is a part of our fondest memories. What would camping have been without him to be the first to rise, light the fire, make the coffee, and get the newspaper, all before 7:00 am. Then there was the shift change at the swings, the chowder, and the real hardwood fires. I can honestly say I am a better person for having known him. He will be remembered by us as a dedicated family man, who had his priorities in the right places. Inside that tough exterior was a caring generous man, with a heart of gold. Please remember that we are here for you in this extremely difficult time for all of us.
