Henry "Hank" Mountain Aka "Whitey"

Henry “Hank” J. Mountain, aka “Whitey”, age 79 of Niagara Falls NY, died unexpectedly on Sunday February 7, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston. Hank was born February 28, 1936 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Richard and Bertha Mountain and lived most of his life in Niagara Falls. He was a custodian at the former 95th St. Elementary School, now known as the Geraldine J. Mann Elementary, for over twenty years. Previous to that Hank worked at Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. and for the U.S. Postal Service. He helped coach a number of different Little League baseball teams, including the Cayuga Little League, the Hyde Park Stadium Pirates, and in the Midtown Little League. Hank enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his bike and being with friends and family. He is survived by his sister, Lola (late Donald) Brown of Ransomville, many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Hank was predeceased by three brothers, Roy (Marie), Charles (Jeane), and Donald Mountain. Hank generously donated his remains to UNYTS and to the Anatomical Gift Program of The University of Buffalo. There will be no visitation or services.
