Obituary of Judith R. Cloy

Judith R. Cloy, age 75 of Middleport NY, died Saturday January 9, 2016 in the Medina Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Judith was born November 8, 1940 in New Castle, PA, the daughter of the late Orval and Erma (Swanton) Dibbley. She was 1958 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and had attended Plattsburgh State College. On October 22, 1960 she married Donald J. Cloy and they had resided in Middleport since 1972. Donald predeceased her in 2005.
Judith worked as a clerk at Montondo's Seafood in Lockport for 31/2 years before becoming the Seafood Manager at the former Jubilee Store in Lockport for 10 years until 2000. She retired in 2003 from the Lakeside IGA in Wilson after 3 years of service.
Judith was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Middleport where she was a member of the Women's Guild and Quilter Group. She was also a member of the Johnson Creek Home Demonstration Group as well as the LewPort Class of 1958 Alumni Group.
She is survived by her children, Donald "Ted" (Sue) Cloy of Perry, NY, Kristen Cloy Wasnock of Barker, NY, and Melissa (Robert) Cloy Gogolack of Attica, NY; a daughter In law, Elizabeth Cloy of Middleport, NY; a brother, Thomas (Sharon) Dibbley of Dumfries, VA; a brother in law, Dave (Joyce) Cloy of Ransomville; two sisters in law, Connie (Alan) Schultz of Ransomville and Denise (Clinton) Hoerner of San Marcos, TX; ten grandchildren, one step grandson, five great grandchildren, one step great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin Cloy, n 2014.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 14, at 11:00 AM in St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd. Town of Cambria, with the Pastor, Rev. Robert Hoffman, and the Rev. Richard Wolfe, Pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 JohnJames Audubon Pkwy., Amherst, NY 14228, the National MS Society, WNY Chapter, 4245 Union Rd. Suite 108, Buffalo, NY 14225, or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 133 Telegraph Rd. Middleport, NY 14105.
