James M. Mathieson, age 88 of Lewiston NY, formerly of Hamburg, NY died Wednesday December 16, 2015 under the loving care of his family and Buffalo Hospice.
Jim was born April 25, 1927 in Renfrew, Scotland the son of the late James and Miria (Morrice) Mathieson. He served proudly in the British Royal Navy during WW II. In 1947 he married Marge McKee and the immigrated to the United State in 1951. Jim retired as a Foreman from the Ford Motor Co. Woodlawn Stamping Plant in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was a long time member of the United Church of Christ in Hamburg.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marge; a daughter, Rosemary Walters of Amherst, NY, and a son, David Mathieson of Lewiston; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Morrice Mathieson.
Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth and Ridge Sts., Lewiston on Saturday, December 19th from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buffalo Hospice, 225 Como Park Blvd. Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
