Obituary of Paul H. Manchester

Paul H. Manchester, age 79 of Ransomville, died Friday November 6, 2015 in the Elderwood Health Care at Wedgewood in Amherst, after a lengthy illness.
Paul was born September 11, 1936 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Howard and Ruby (Barrett) Manchester. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School. Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956. He was a Machine Repairman 2nd Class and spent three years of sea service, his last assignment aboard the U.S.S. Piedmont. He was honorably discharged in 1960 and served an additional 2 years as a member of the U.S. Navy Reserves. On September 8, 1962 he married Betty J. Aaron and they have resided in Ransomville since 1972.
Paul was a Machinist, employed by Harrison Radiator Division of GM in Lockport for 30 years, retiring in 1998. He and Betty are members of the North Ridge United Methodist Church. Paul enjoyed auto racing and was a fan of Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed shooting his black powder rifle in competitions.
In addition of his wife Betty, he is survived by his sons, Dennis (Donna) of Gasport, and Brian (Dorene) Manchester of Ransomville; his grandchildren, Brittany, Rachelle, Tiffany, Taylor, and Trisha; and a brother in law, John Aaron of Niagara Falls, NY. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Hague.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 10, at 11:00 AM in funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Worley officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the North Ridge Cemetery, Church Rd., Town of Cambria.
