Obituary of Virginia Joan Jordan

Joan Jordan, age 84 of Ransomville, died Saturday October 10, 2015 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. Joan was born August 1, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Elton and Virginia (Stamm) Bonnett. She was a lifelong resident of Ransomville and the Town of Cambria and was a 1947 graduate of Lockport High School. Joan married William D. Jordan on September 1, 1951. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her family, spending time in her gardens with her flowers, and canning the veggies she grew. Joan mostly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, William; a daughter, Debra (Kenneth) Seabert of the Town of Cambria; five sons, David (Mary) of San Antonio, TX, Timothy (Dianna) of Oklahoma, Christopher (Joy) Jordan of Lockport, Michael (Karen) of Ransomville, and Gregory (Kris) Jordan of Lockport; a brother, Robert (Lyla) Bonnett of Webster, NY; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several sisters and brothers in law, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Keith Jordan. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 14, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
