I remember Harley as a friend, as I knew him as a Line Foreman at Nimo/NGrid.
I was unaware of his passing until I was notified of the Patriot Guard standing in honor!
I will try to make this mission as a PGR Member- but if our second grandchild comes (any day now) I may not!
Please accept my condolences to Harley's entire family..........
I will remember Harley for his warm smile and pleasant gentle nature.
God Bless you all

Our deepest sympathy to Lucy and all of your family.
Mitch worked with Harley for many years in the line department. We always so enjoyed the time outside of work to laugh, and joke with him. Mitch would see him during the summer at the different Ni-Mo gatherings on Wed's foreman meetings and sometimes at the 1st Monday breakfasts. We visited in Florida with him & Lucy two years ago, since we live about 60 miles north of their home. He talked about all the things they wanted to do there.
We'll always remember his humor and his expressions. He still makes me smile. He will be sadly missed.

I'm pretty much at a loss for words. Hillie and I have known Harley for many years through the HOG Club. I could never understand how he ALWAYS appeared to so darn upbeat about everything. Harley was a one-of-a kind! He and Lucy were a great combination. Each highlighted the other. He will be missed by all he touched!

I knew Harley many years ago when I was a clerk in the Niagara Falls Line office. He was one of the nicest people I ever met, and I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

I am so saddened by the loss of a great person. I know you will miss him. I spoke with him a few months ago regarding school reunion and so enjoyed it. My school and bus memories of him are all so great.

My sister Linda and I were just talking about Harley yesterday as we passed his homestead. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Growing up he was like a brother. He was at our house a lot. I remember him in his uniform. So good looking. Such a crush I had on him. My sincere thoughts are with the family through this difficult time.

Harley Chapman was a great guy, we followed each others careers at National Grid. Something that we kidded each other about often. We began in Buffalo and than on to Niagara Falls. He was always honest, fun and tireless as a co worker. As a foreman he was smart and showed leadership, he could also be trusted with complicated projects and give excellant results.
Most important Harley was a true gentleman, he laughed alot and had a personality that everone liked. To Harley's family I am very sorry for your loss...
