Obituary of Ella M. Miller

Ella M. Miller, age 87 formerly of Lewiston, died Friday July 17, 2015 in Elderwood at Grand Island Health Facility after a lengthy illness. Ella was born January 16, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Kharsten and Ella (Olson) Styhr. She was a graduate of Huntington High School in Long Island and Anderson Junior College in South Carolina. Ella married John L. "Jack" Miller on August 20, 1949 and had lived in Lewiston for over 60 years. Jack predeceased Ella on February 24, 2006. Ella was a communicant of St. Peter's RC Church in Lewiston and a member of the Church Choir. She was a member of the Youngstown Yacht Club and the Lewiston Study Club. She is survived by her children, Janet Ann Miller of Youngstown, Randi Jean (Dr. James) Kiley of Gaithersburg, MD, Richard W. (Joselle) Miller of Hot Spring, AK, Barbara Black (Ron Weiss) of Youngstown, David J. (Judy) Miller of Jim Thorpe, PA, and Scott L. (Marlena) Miller of Albany, NY; her grandchildren, Lori (Christian) Schneider, Karen and Steven Kiley, Rachal Miller, Sabrina (Jeremy) Wilson, John M. (Amanda) Black, Timothy, Christopher, Eric, and Graeme Miller; and a great grandson, Austin Schneider. She was predeceased by a brother, Kharsten Styhr. Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Streets, Lewiston on Friday from 4 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25, at 10:00 AM in St. Peter's RC Church, 600 Center St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Msgr. David G. LiPuma officiating.
