Cynthia Jean Williams, July 7, 2015 of Buffalo, NY. Born May 14, 1951 in Williamsville, NY; loving daughter to the late Patricia G. Williams and Robert B. Williams; Sister of Sharon Buell Cheevers of Stevensville, Ontario; beloved sister, niece, cousin, aunt and friend . A 1969 graduate from the Buffalo Seminary School, Cindy continued to serve for many years on the Alumni Association Committee. She attended Garland Jr. College (Simmons College) and Katherine Gibbs in Boston, Mass. Her passion for the culinary arts inspired her to attend the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY from 1998-2000 where she earned an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. From student to chef, she had her own catering company, and worked as a private chef for many, including Patty Duke and Ethel Kennedy. A member of Women Chefs and Entrepreneurs, she went on to become the Executive Sous Chef for Rich Products in both Buffalo and Florida. Her passion for cooking and baking led her to become a teacher assistant at the WD Ormsby Educational Center in East Aurora, NY, in culinary arts. She also was a teaching assistant for the Buffalo Public School System. Cindy was a positive spirit and had great enthusiasm for sports, the arts, gardening, travel, and ooh-la-la fun. Cindy touched the lives of so many and a celebration of life gathering is being planned for a later date. Cindy was actively involved in volunteering and donating to the Bosom Buddies Walk and Ride for Roswell. Donations in her name may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute at Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263. Arrangements have been entrusted to HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, N. Fourth & Ridge Sts., Lewiston.
